A game running on the street beside the STREETBUS

RollUp, RankUp

Bring the bus
to your town

Roll up, rank up.

A RollUp is the bus parking up in one town for a day - open-run street basketball where every game is ranked, and where what the day raises goes straight back into that community. Ask for one where you live, and get your town up the board.

Why we roll up

One day. Two jobs.

RollUp to RankUp

Get on the board

Every game played at a RollUp is an official ranked game. Win, lose or draw, it lands on your record and moves you up the STREETBUS rankings.

No club, no membership, no trial. Turn up, get matched, play whoever is next.

RollUp to ReachOut

Leave something behind

A RollUp is not just the day on the court. While the bus is in town we use what the day raises to get into the places around it - schools, community centres, home-ed groups, youth projects.

That is the whole point of the bus: culture, connection and opportunity brought to where people already are, and more people playing at the end of it than at the start.

How a RollUp happens

Four steps, and the first one is yours

1

Somebody asks

Anyone can request a RollUp in their town - no account needed. That puts the town on the board.

2

Players back it

Registered players back the town they would turn up in. One vote each, and the most-backed towns are the ones we plan for.

3

We make it pay for itself

A spot, a local sponsor and a street food van. A RollUp has to cover its own costs before it can fund anything else.

4

We roll up

Ranked games all day, and the reach-out visits around it while the bus is in town.

What it costs

Paid for on the day

STREETBUS is still being built, so every RollUp has to fund itself. Three things pay for one - and what is left over is what funds the reach-out around it.

£5

A play, winner stays on

Five pounds to step on the court. Win and you stay on and keep playing for nothing - so the better you do, the less the day costs you.

Local

Business sponsors

A business from the town putting its name to the day. Often the thing that tips a town from requested to booked.

Food

A street food vendor

One trader on site. They get the crowd, the day gets a cut, and nobody has to leave to eat.

The board

Towns asking for a RollUp

Ranked by how many players have backed them. Open a town to see who is behind it, where it would be, who is sponsoring it and when - and wherever that still says TBC, treat it as an invitation.

Get your town on the board

Request a RollUp

Anyone can ask - you do not need an account. We will put the town on the board as requested and come back to you.

Where?

Pick the town or city you want the bus in. If it is already on the board your request is added to it, rather than splitting its backing across two entries.

You

So we can tell you when it moves, and ask you the things only a local knows.

Anything we should know?

A court that never gets used, a youth project worth visiting, a business that might sponsor it - all useful.

Tell us about your town (optional)

Backing a town is players only - register as a player and you get a vote.
